2017-18 Annual Giving Campaign
Howard Ingber Outdoor Classroom
This year's annual giving campaign is dedicated to building the Howard Ingber Outdoor Classroom. The Outdoor Classroom will increase outdoor instruction opportunities for all grades, in areas such as Nature Study, Botany, Mapping and Science main lesson blocks with a dry space for writing and drawing activities, close to the garden and the field.  Our garden program will have greater capacity for activities regardless of the weather, and students will have a place to relax during recess.

We believe that the Outdoor Classroom will be an important boon to our students and teachers, and a fitting testament to Howard Ingber‘s dedication to establishing a facility for our school.  Thank you in advance for your support of our school and the Howard Ingber Outdoor Classroom!

Our goal is to raise at least $15,000 and 100% participation from families. The good news is that  friends of Howard have already collected $2,800. Pledge forms are available in the office. To make a donation online, please go to  Support Us

Who was Howard Ingber? Howard Ingber has a special place in the hearts of all people at The Village School who knew him. He was Ms. Kay Cosby’s partner for over 30 years. In the 10 year’s before he died in 2012, Howard worked tirelessly to help us develop and implement a plan to acquire a building of our own. He loved the arts, music, people from all over the world, and he truly loved our school.
Importance of 100% Participation
When opportunities arise for foundation or corporate funding, one of the first questions we are asked is how much support we receive from the families who benefit directly from their involvement with The Village School. If we can say that 100% of our families support the Annual Giving Program, our success in obtaining grants will be significantly increased.
